Our home is the winner of the 2009 Historic Annapolis Foundation’s Historic Preservation Award, and has just been honored with being presented the Historic Annapolis Foundation Bronze Plaque marker identifiying our home’s landmark heritage.

We enjoy welcoming and getting to know our guests, and are honored to share our charming Victorian Queen Elizabethan home for Commissioning Week and Boat Week Rentals. Prince George Street is right in the Historic District of Annapolis, and is known as one of the most beautiful, elegant streets in downtown Historic Annapolis. Our home at 198 Prince George Street is the historic Joseph S.M. Basil Residence (Maryland Historical Trust #1224); Later it became the residence of Admiral Giles author of “Captive of the Rising Sun.” It is LOCATED 2 SHORT BLOCKS from the Naval Academy Yard and the Annapolis Docks, and has several rooms with a gorgeous view of the Academy’s Chapel. You’ll enjoy hearing the chapel’s carillon bells play at noon and six every day. You can sometimes watch the fireworks from bedroom windows.

We have five bedrooms, three baths and sleep ten adults (two twin long beds pulled together as a king, two twin trundle beds, two twin beds, and a queen bed. We also enjoy the numerous detailed Victorian features and embellishments, and our brick courtyard is perfect for grilling. Our home has an executive leather massage chair and a Baldwin piano to play if you feel so inclined.

The first floor has an open, welcoming layout that we think is ideal for hosting parties: The great room with a romantic fireplace adjoins the dining room which is next to a large kitchen with marble counters, a new Jenn-Aire Range, and plateware, stemware, etc. suitable for elegant dining . The kitchen adjoins a lovely garden room which overlooks the tree-secluded courtyard. Of course we are happy to forward you pictures of our home.
